joining
The requirements to join create are:
➝ username associated with your celebrity's first, last, or stage name (no underscores or special characters)
➝ backdated friends only and screened contact posts ➝ friends list cleared of all past friends/communities (unless you are a recently returning member) ➝ at least two examples, one of which must be an update, either locked in your journal or left in our dropbox all celebrities must be 18+ and have credentials of some kind or a significant online presence. we allow up to two challenges per role for a maximum of three applications. once accepted, you must post an introduction and reply to a majority of comments within one week. updating
updates are due in your journal once per calendar month, by 11:59pm pst on the last day of the month.
each update must meet one of these criteria:
➝ mood boards or playlists with 10+ items (stylized html optional)
➝ 100+ original words + 5 images/links (stylized html optional) ➝ 200+ original words (stylized html/images/links optional) ➝ creative works made with substantial stylized html birthday posts will not count as your monthly post. this means that even if you make a birthday post in a given month, you still have to post a regular update at some point during that month. placeholders are not allowed, but members do have the opportunity to earn and use update passes. one update pass can be used between regular updates. learn about update passes here. members added after the 15th of the month do not need to update until the following month. activity
our minimum activity requirements are:
➝ updating your friends list at least every 2 weeks.
➝ making an effort post in your journal once a month ➝ participating on the friends page between updates (comments or posts) your friends list must be visible in your userinfo so we can verify that it is up to date. we do not currently have a minimum comment requirement but members who are not visibily active on the friends page may be eligible for override. we have an optional community discord server that is open to all members. participation in the community server does count as public activity, but it is not factored into decisions regarding removals or override. members who join the community server must participate at least once a month. overrides
as a general rule, a member can be considered for override if they:
➝ do not post an introduction and/or reply to a majority of comments within one week of being added
➝ have never run the button or their friends list is out of date by 2+ weeks ➝ have not replied to at least 50% of initial comments on their most recent update within one week ➝ have not shown any friends page activity since their last update, whether comments or posts please check with the mods to confirm a role is up for override before you apply. once an override attempt is approved, you have 24 hours to apply. after 24 hours, the approval expires and you will need to ask again. showing activity after an override attempt is approved will not cancel or negate the override. this means that if someone applies to override your role after asking the mod team for approval, updating, running the friends button, and/or showing any other activity will not prevent the override from proceeding. however, you are welcome to apply as a challenge to try and keep your role, but please be aware that your acceptance is not guaranteed. removals
as a general rule, a member may be removed if they:
➝ have not updated by 11:59pm pst the last day of the month
➝ do not meet any of the effort requirements ➝ violate the terms of their hiatus or do not return from hiatus with an update removals are done at the end of each month and as needed for general clean-up based on mod availability. members who have maintained their friends lists, met their update/extension deadlines, replied to their comments, and are visibly active within the community are not at risk for override/removal. if you are removed for not updating, you will need to post in order to reapply. if a member is removed for failing to meet activity requirements three times within three months, they will be ineligible to reapply for 30 days. hiatuses & extensions
extensions can be granted for 1-3 days. however, we will not grant extensions on the last day of the month or for two months in a row.
anyone who has not updated by the last day of the month and does not have an approved extension/hiatus is at risk for removal/override. hiatuses are permitted for 4-6 weeks. you must have made at least one update in your journal prior to requesting a hiatus. public interaction and activity is not permitted while on hiatus. you must return from hiatus with an effort post. frequent hiatus/extension requests may not be granted if we feel a member is taking advantage of them or using them to avoid activity requirements. failure to update by your return date will result in removal or override. harassment & bullying
this is a hobby where people should feel free to have fun. please do not blur the ic/ooc line. we cannot moderate ic drama and ic issues should be kept ic. members harassing others ic/ooc, committing egregious or harmful blurring, or doxxing other members will be removed with or without warning.
we can only address issues that are reported to us. please contact the mods with your member journal to report issues so we can review the situation and figure out the best course of action. please do not contact individual mods to report issues through ic or ooc conversations. you may use the dropbox or send us a pm, but all reports of harassment, bullying, or other incidents must be directed to the mod journal. |
